First I had to research other icons for the iPhone and I looked at the iPhone and compered it to a other phone. After that I look at som of Apple's past products to see what they made before. I made the I have drawn a three icons and I choose one icon of each genre to be my final ones. I then took a photo of the choose Icons after that I coloured it and made the background in photoshop. I then took the image that was drawn at coloured it in photoshop and put it to the background made before.
I think that the pro example is similar to my as the icon as both of the icons have smooth edges and they both have a image in the middle. However my icon has a bevel and emboss which makes it look like a button although this is good I think that the image for fantasy chosen needs to be at the bottom but if it was at the bottom it would disrupt the effect the bevel and emboss was giving. I think that the Sci fi icon I made almost meets the standards of a professional icon.
